GRANDMA'S FUNERAL

S- stands for Spontaneity. Grandma was always ready for an outing, a vacation, to go to lunch and of course to go shopping at a moments notice. I have so many memories of sleeping over at grandmas and waking up early in the morning to hit garage sales or the mall for a shopping spree.

Sophisticated- Grandma had amazing taste in clothes, jewelry, and decorating. She always knew how to pick the perfect birthday, or Christmas present. My friends were always amazed when I would tell them my grandma gave me a particular outfit that they liked of mine. She always looked and presented herself with class.

Sweetheart- Grandma was a true disciple of Jesus Christ. She demonstrated Christ like love to all who knew her. She never held a grudge and always saw the best in others. Grandma had a peace about her that I have never experienced with another human being. She loved with her whole heart and soul and never raised her voice or lost her temper.

O- stands for Optimist. Grandma was the Supreme Optimist. She always saw the best in others and in every situation. If you asked her how she was doing, she would always say she was great or that she definitely knew she would be better tomorrow. Grandma taught me to have faith and to look at the bright side of life. She was always one of the first people that I would seek out and talk to when I had a problem. She would always comfort me with her sweet nature, and say, “honey everything will work out.” She would talk to me about faith and the gospel. She taught me through her example more than anything she said.

P- stands for Pretty and Particular- Grandma was beautiful!! She was always dressed beautifully. She was very particular about her hair, nails and clothes. She instilled in me a love for makeup, clothes, purses and jewelry. She liked everything just so and always put her whole heart into whatever it was that she was involved in.

H- Stands for heart and happy. Grandma had a heart of gold. She was always thinking of how she could help someone. She would give you the shirt off her back. She always wore a smile and had a twinkle in her eye. Two of her greatest accessories.

I- stands for Intelligent- Grandma was a very intelligent and savvy business woman. She excelled at any job that she did. Whether it be at the school district, owning her own business or being a mother, grandmother, or great-grandmother. I have many memories of going to grandma’s house and her and my mom helping me write newspaper articles for my journalism class or help me with my homework. Grandma was never to busy to help me no matter what time of day it was. She had an amazing way with words.

E- Stands for Eternal. Grandma always had an eternal perspective. She put her family and the gospel first in her life. I have had the opportunity to live with grandma twice in my life. I have so many memories of sitting in a chair in grandma’s room and talking for hours. She loved to have people around. She loved my kids with her whole heart. She was always bragging about them and loving them and thinking of something nice to do for them. She loved when they would come into her room and hug her, jump on her bed or watch t.v. with her.

Grandma was always right by my side for the special days in my life! I had the opportunity to wear grandma’s wedding dress when I went through the temple and that was such an honor. Grandma was with me in the room when I had my first sweet little girl. Brynlee Sophie. I am so thankful that Brynlee was named after such an amazing women who she can look up to and live up to with her name. Even though I know that Grandma has moved on to the next step in her eternal progression I know that she will be with us to guide us and help us and love us. She wouldn’t have it any other way. I am honored to be Sophie Mae Pappas Black’s granddaughter and I hope to live my life in such a way that I will make her proud. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

We had a great time in Vegas and California this summer!! We drove to Vegas and stayed there the first night! The kids loved the hotel! We swam and ate at their request at the Rainforest Cafe. Beckham loved all of the animals in the restaurant! Then we went to L.A. We had a great time at the beach the first night! Then we went to Disneyland the next day! The kids were in heaven. They loved all of the rides. Beckhams favorite was the train! Brynlee's favorite is still the Peter Pan Ride and Stockton was content because he got an Indiana Jones hat and whip! He is obsessed with Indiana Jones and was pretending to be him the whole day long!! Stockton's other obsession right now is Star Wars. It was so neat because they picked kids out of the audience to learn to be Jedi's and then they got to fight Darth Vadar. I was not shy about making sure Stockton and Bryns got picked. They loved the whole experience of wearing the robes, learning jedi moves with light sabers and then actually fighting and defeating Darth Vadar! So cute!!! The kids love the Mickey Mouse rollercoaster in Tune Town and they also loved meeting Mickey Mouse!! It was so much fun to be there with the kids!!! It is so much fun to feel of your kids excitement and love for life!! It is amazing to be a mother and I am so thankful that Heavenly Father has given me that opportunity!! I love the memories that we are creating!!!

MILL CREEK CANYON

We took the kids one evening to Mill Creek Canyon! We had a blast hiking and roasting marshmellows!! The mountains are so beautiful this time of year!!

DANCE ATTACK!!

Bryns and I had such a fun time at Dance Attack this year!! It was in Park City and we stayed at my grandmas condo. Bryns friends Kelci, Kwincee, and Maddison and their moms stayed with us. The girls would dance 6 hours a day!! They took from amazing choreographers. Joey Dowling who just choreographed for So You Think you Can Dance and another guy who was the choreographer for the Michael Jackson tour that didn't happen because he passed away. The girls had so much fun swimming after we got back to the condo. We also went to the Alpine Slide one day!! Bryns loved the Alpine Slide. She said her favorite part of all was when we went shopping at TJ Maxx. The girls all got pink roxy purses that matched!! This summer we went to Disneyland, Nauvoo and Lake Powell...when I asked Bryns what her favorite trip this summer was she without hesitation said Park City Dance Attack. I'm so glad that she has such cute friends that she enjoys being with and dancing with!! Great Job Bryns at Dance Attack!! It was so much to be with you!! I love you!!

SWIMMING LESSONS

The kids have been anxiously awaiting the time all year when they could start swim lessons with Miss Jessica again!! They have loved taking swim lessons with her again this summer and they have improved so much. Stockton can swim completely on his own this year! He has become a great swimmer and very daring. Beckham is a fish and we can't ever seem to get that kid out of the water! He jumps right in the water without any care of how deep the water is. Brynlee is an amazing swimmer. She is learning all of the strokes. Miss Jessica says she is an amazing student because she takes all of her corrections and fixes the things she tells her to work on. I think that must have come from dance.

PICKING RASPBERRIES IN OUR YARD

This year at our house we had so many raspberries!! The kids loved going out and picking all of the raspberries!! It was great because it would keep them occupied for hours at a time. The top picture is of Beckham. I couldn't keep a diaper or pull up on him all summer long. Or clothes for that matter. Every time I would turn around he was naked. I think I have dressed that kid about five times a day!!! You gotta love boys and summer!!! I love you Beckham!!! The kids helped my mom and I make lots of raspberry jam!!!

STOCKTON'S BASKETBALL CAMP

At the beginning of the summer we signed Stockton up for a month long basketball camp. He was adorable. He was so focused and determined even though he was by far the shortest kid in the whole camp. And he was the only five year old. I was so proud of him! He worked so hard and he never got frusturated or gave up. I love you Stockton!!

HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND BARBEQUE

At the beginning of the summer Jen and Jeff Kirkham planned a barbeque with old friends from high school. It was in Heber at Jeff's parents home. It was great to see old friends and the kids had a blast running around and playing together. We even had several out of state people who were able to make it. CAMERON'S GRADUATION!!

On thursday my youngest brother Cameron graduated from Bingham. I am very proud of Cam! He graduated with a 3.89 GPA and he is such a great kid. I saw his golf coach at the graduation who I used to work with when I taught at Bingham...and he said Cam is one of those kids who you would want to marry your daughter. He is so service oriented, such a good example, a hard worker and he had tears in his eyes when he said that he is just one of those kids that makes your heart warm! I am so proud of you Cam and I am so thankful that I am your sister! I know you will go on to do great things!! Congratulations!! I love you!! Cam's friend DJ that played golf with him is polynesian and all of his family made Cam those candy lays. It was so sweet!!

STOCKTON'S PRE-SCHOOL GRADUATION!!!

Stockton had his pre-school graduation this week! It was so cute!! They sang a bunch of songs and had the cutest little program! Stockton knows all of his alphabet and sounds and has done such a great job at pre-school! He is definately ready for kindergarten but I think he will have a hard time leaving me. He is such a home body! I love having him around all the time! All of the little kids in his pre-school love him. Stockton was so glad that his uncle Marcus and his grandma Debbie came to his graduation! He is such a sweet good boy with such a hilarious sense of humor. He is always making a laugh! He loves Star Wars, bateman, and indiana jones. He loves playing the wii, playing outside, playing make believe with his brother and sister and friends. He loves cuddling with mom, going to his grandma debbie's and watching movies with his grandma and grandpa black who he calls the old grandma and grandpa. I love his personality and I am so thankful for the blessing he is in my life!!!!!! Congratulations Stockton!!! Now you are a big boy and you get to go to kindergarten on the bus! Fun for you but sad for me.

BRYNLEE'S 7th BIRTHDAY

I can't believe that my little girl turned 7! I know I probably always say that about my kids but she is really growing up. It makes me sad. I wish that I could just freeze time with her! Bryns is such an amazing girl! She is very obedient and is such an amazing helper at home with the boys. She is a perfectionist with her school work and dance and whatever she does. She always does her best. She loves people and has so many friends and really treasures all of her friendships. She is a very spiritual little girl! She says the most amazing prayers and always tried to choose the right! I am very proud of the girl and daughter that she is ! I love you Brynlee!

When bryns woke up she requested crepes for breakfast. So I made her birthday crepes. Then she went to school. The boys and I went to her school to eat lunch with her and her friends. She thought that was pretty cool and has already requested several times that I do that again. That evening we had chinese(bryns favorite) and a chocolate ice cream cake which was also at her request! The next day was her birthday party! We had a spa birthday party. At the front door their was a sign that said Brynlee's Spatacular Spa. We did pedicures, facials and all of the girls hair. My friend Katie who does my hair and is amazing at hair helped me do all of the girls hair! What an amazing friend she is!! Bryns ended the night with watching high school musical and having Kwincee, Mads and Bailey sleep over! It was such a fun party!! But boy was I worn out!!

STOCKTON'S COACH PITCH BASEBALL!!!!

It has been so much fun to watch Stockton play coach pitch baseball this year! He started out a little timid but my dad worked with him a lot and showed him how to stand and hit and catch! Stockton had an amazing stance when he was up to bat! By the end he was fielding and hitting the ball like a pro! Their little baseball outfits were so darling! I love that they had their names on them. Wait to go Stockton! Thanks for letting us come to your games!! You are a great little baseball player!!

At this particular game it starting pouring!! I couldn't even see in front of my face it was coming down so hard. It was a real challenge gathering the kids up and getting in the car. It looked like we had all just gotten out of the shower! Good times!

MOM'S 51st BIRTHDAY!!

For my mom's birthday we have tin foil dinners at the park. We wanted to go to the mountains but Stockon and my dad and Josh all had games so we resorted to the park by Josh and Heather's house. Heather made the tinfoil dinners and I made the tinfoil desserts and salad. It was a lot of fun to do something different and to just be together as a family! I am so thankful for my mom! The words what would I do without my mom have taken on a whole new meaning since I have been divorced. She has been more than good to me. She is always there to help with the kids or help me in whatever I need. She is such an amazing example to me in the way she loves and selflessly serves others. My grandma and grandpa Black have moved in with her and she is so devoted to take such great care of them! She amazes me! I hope to become more like her! I love you mom!!! Happy Birthday!!

MOTHER'S DAY

Mothers Day is so much fun once you are a mother! I was overwhelmed by the love that I felt from my kids that day! They were so sweet in wishing me a happy mother's day over and over all day! Bryns and Stock both made me about half a dozen cards and they made me presents at school and in church! There is nothing better than home-made cards from your kids! I feel so blessed to be a mother!! Being a mother is my greatest joy in life! I am so thankful to have been intrusted with my three little sweet spirits! I am so thankful to have such an amazing mother and grandmas who guide and teach me as I am learning to be a better mother!!

A VISIT FROM THE SMITH'S

We have been so blessed to be able to get to know and stay in contact with our dear friends the Smith family that we met in Vegas. It was so much fun to have them come and stay with us for the weekend! The kids were all in heaven to be able to play with their friends Elise, Ella, and Easton. Elise is Bryns favorite friend! They have so much fun playing together. Stocton absolutely loves Ella. He told Ella that he would be batman and she could be catwoman. Ella agreed as long as she could be a princess catwoman. Then Stock started to tell her that batman has to kiss catwoman. I can't believe he is already thinking about kissing and he was pretty smooth at the whole thing. Ella did deny him though because she told him that they were just friends and she has a boyfriend in Colorado where she lives.

STOCKTON TURNED 5!!!!

Stockton has been so into Star Wars this year since he has been playing lego star wars on the wii. So he was positive that he wanted to have a star wars party. The party was so much fun! My mom got all of us costumes at a costume store in draper that was closing down and had everything 75% off. Stockton was Obi one, Becks was Luke Skywaker, I was Padame, Maycee and Bryns were princess Lei, Marcus was Yoda and Cam was Darth Vader. The kids had to complete five different obstacles if they wanted to become true jedi's. Marcus(yoda) led them through the exercises and he of course played the part perfectly. It was so hiliarious how perfect he was. The kids were in awe. Then at the end Darth Vader came in and all of the kids had to fight Darth Vader as their final test. Then as they defeated Darth Vader my mom had made all of the kids vests and Yoda knighted them true Jedi's with their vests! It was such a blast! The kids loved it. I was told by several moms that their sons didn't take off the vests for days!! Boys are so much fun! I love being a mom to boys. The non-stop sword and light saber fighting is so hilarious!! I love you Stocky boy!!! You are such an amazing boy in every way and I am so blessed to be your mom!! I hope you had an amazing fifth birthday!! I forgot to mention that the top picture is Stockton's friend Simon who was terrified and didn't come out from under the table the whole party. I felt so bad!

MORE FUN IN ST. GEORGE

While we were in St. George we made the most of the beautiful weather! The kids had a blast swimming with Grandpa and their uncle Cam! Stockton got to go on a ride on the 4-wheeler with Grandpa. And we had another easter egg hunt for the kids at the park!!!

BRYN'S LOST HER FIRST TOOTH

Right before we went to St. George bryns lost her first tooth. She was so nervous that it was going to hurt to pull out. She let all of us take a turn pulling on it. But finally her aunt Heather was able to pull it out only because she told Bryns tha at she would give her some necklaces that she made if she let Heather pull out her tooth. Wait to go Heather!!! Bryns was so excited and her uncle Josh told her that for her first tooth the tooth fairy brings 5 dollars. I should have made him pay the 5 dollars. But bryns was thrilled and she swore that she saw a bright light enter her room(which was the tooth fairy and take her tooth). A few weeks later she had another tooth on the bottom barely haning there and she wouldn't let anyone touch her tooth and she kept checking it in the mirror every five minutes. while she was eating breakfast the tooth fell out and she swallowed it! She wrote the tooth fairy a note explaining that she had swallowed her tooth and the tooth fairy was understanding and still brought her 1 dollar under her pillow!!

We had a great easter this year! We colored easter eggs at my moms and then we headed down to St. George to spend Easter in the sunshine! My dad hid the easter eggs and the kids found all of them except for one. We didn't find it until we were leaving several days later and it was starting to stink! We had a great easter at church and after church me and my mom took the kids to the temple. We got some darling shots of them at the temple in their Easter clothes!!

STOCKTON'S SPOTLIGHT

It was so much fun to go to Stockton's school when he was the spotlight. He was so adorable as he stood up there and told about his poster. Then all of the kids had several questions to ask him! He was so excited to show them his family, his bunny, pictures of trips to disneyland and sea world. Stockton has had such sweet teachers this year...Miss Karrie and Miss Kaylee who have been a blessing in his life! He has really enjoyed his pre-school and he especially has loved being with his buddy Simon. Several parents have told me how much their kids love Stock. All the girls want to be by him(because he is so cute) and all the boys want to play Star wars and swords with him. His two favorite things...girls and star wars! I love you Stockton and I am so proud of you! You are a good boy!!

BRYNLEE'S DANCE COMPETITION!!

Bryns had such a fun year at dance this year! She was a mini star and loved every second of it! She had such cute dances and competed at three competitions. Well actually she only ended up doing two competitions because she got pneumonia. She did a production number to cat in the hat, a mini star dance to hound dog and a duo with her friend Kwincee to shake it up! She has loved being on mini stars with her two best friends Kwincee and Madison! You are such a darling dancer bryns! It has been so much fun for me to watch you this year! I am excited for many more years to come!

BUNNY RELEASE MISSSION/ BUNNY SAVE MISSION

Anyone who knows me knows that I am net a pet person. My parents got this bunny for Stockton lat April for his birthday. The kids loved the bunny when it was little but as it always happens the bunny grew bigger and the kids didn't want to play with the bunny. We had a hard time catching the bunny. It was hilarious to see my dad chase the bunny around the yard with a net for hours before we would catch it for the night. We got so sick of chasing the bunny that we finally gave up and "bubbly fluffy" became a wild bunny! Bubbly Fluffy was let lose in our backyard for six months and survived off of the grass in our backyard. Then in the late fall our neighbors kept knocking on the door telling us that our rabbit was hopping down the street or in their yard. Bubbly Fluffy had discovered that he could get out of the yard. So we put him back in the cage. He hated the cage because he was now a wild bunny. So me and my brothers decided to go an release bubbly fluffy by the Jordan River. We were laughing and thought it was such a great idea. But then on the way down there we were all quiet and felt really bad. So once we got there we made a decision not to release the bunny and to take bubbly fluffy back home. Two days later bubbly fluffy died. I felt awful about it. I really should have just released the bunny in the first place. I cannot be trusted with pets.

DRAPER TEMPLE OPEN HOUSE

We had such a great time going to the open house of the new Draper Temple. The kids were all so reverent and they were so excited about the temple. The kids wrote their feelings and this is what they had to say...Bryns said..."We went to the draper Utah Temple. It was the most butufullest thing I ever seen. I loved the lights they where verry nice. I liked the cookie. My granpa took ten cookie. Some day I will be marryed at the temple. After win we where outside we where trowing snowball fites. Brynlee Sophie Prince 6 years old." Stockton said..."We went to the temple. We watched a movie about the fathers. President Monsen talking about the temple. I liked that we could relax in there because the lines were long. I sat on a green couch in the celestial room to rest. It was beautiful! We had a cookie and water after. I am 41/2 years old." Beckham said, "Today we went to the new Draper Utah Temple. I was so good and reverent. I liked the oxen and the water in the baptismal font. I watched the movie about the temple and asked if that was our temple, (meaning the Jordan River Temple)."

SLEDDING

We had a blast going sledding by a park in the neighborhood that I grew up in! I have so many memories of sledding here and walking home with numb feet and hands! The kids weren't scared at all! They loved every minute of it and can't wait to go again!

CHRISTMAS MORNING!!

We had such a fun Christmas morning! We slept over at mom and dad's. This took a little bit of convincing to let Bryns know that Santa could find her at grandma's house! The kids got spoiled and were so excited at they opened their presents. Brynlee got the doll house that she had been wanting! Stockton was so darling and excited about everything but he especially liked his leapster and Lego Star Wars game for the Wii. Beckham got a train set that has been in storage for two years!! It was Stockton's when we lived in Las Vegas and was brand new! Stockton came downstairs and said, "hey isn't that my train set?" We said no! Ha ha! There is nothing like hand me down toys! Beckham has loved the train set and I am glad that we are finally getting some use out of it! Beckham also got a potty from my parents! He is officially potty training and loving every minute of it! He pushes so hard that his veins pop out in his forhead and neck! We had a great day spending time with family and relaxing! Brynlee is so cute! She kept saying all Christmas season, "Christmas isn't about presents. It's about caring, sharing and loving!" I'm just sad that now I can't say to the kids "Santa Clause might not bring you a present if your not good" threat anymore :)!

We had so much fun at the Johnson family Christmas party! Beckham was obsessed with a toy train that my grandma bought for 2 dollars. He played with it the entire time. My grandma is so sweet and she makes the kids pillow cases every year and gives them pajamas. The kids were thrilled with their pajams. Bryns got Hannah Montana. Stock got spider man (since he says about 200 times a day that he is the #1 SPIDERMAN). Becks got Superman. The kids have so much fun playing with their second cousins!

BLACK CHRISTMAS PARTY

The black family Christmas party was at my parents this year! The kids had so much fun with their second cousins! So much fun in fact you can see that Stock and Becks fell asleep on the floor in the middle of the party they were so pooped! They acted out the nativity which is always darling! Bryns was Mary, Stockton was the camel(he insisted). Beckham was Joseph and our new baby Macyee was baby Jesus! We had a great time and the kids got their favorite toys from Great Grandma and Grandpa Black. Stock and Becks got Spiderman cars and planes and Bryns got a Hannah Montana barbie!!

SEEING SANTA

We went and saw the "real" Santa at South Towne mall over Christmas! The kids were pretty shy but they told Santa what they wanted.Bryns wants a doll house and Stock wants a Lego Star Wars game on the wii. Beckham on the other hand wouldn't get anywhere near Santa until the very end because he had to touch his hand to get the candy cane from him!

We had Thanksgiving at my parents house this year and it was so much fun! Brynlee read a book that she made at school about being thankful and it was darling. She did a whole production at the dinner table! I love my family so much and feel tremendously blessed to have the family I do! They have supported me through thick and thin! I am so thankful for the gospel, The Savior and my three beautiful children!! I am a very blessed woman!!

Brynlee had her annual benefit dance concert for the Shriners Hospital in November! Her team did a dance to cat in the hat so they all got to do their hair "crazy" for the performance! She did such a great job! I love watching her perform! I am perma grin the whole time! I love you Brynlee!! You are a darling dancer!

The kids had so much fun trick or treating this year! They were so excited they were the first kids in the neighborhood to start trick or treating! Bryns was a bratz bat, Stock was of course Spiderman and becks was a dinosaur. Poor Becks couldn't keep up with the other kids so he would say, "Mommy I kip (skip) this one." Bryns became die hard this year and trick or treated for hours! Isn't my neice Macyee the stinkin cutest ballerina you have ever seen?

Stock had a fun time at his halloween party and parade at pre-school today! He is obsessed with spider man. He always tells me that he wishes that he was peter parker. I say, "but then I wouldn't be your mommy." and he says, "well mom, then I could save you." He is constantly spinning webs at people and things all day long and he is always telling me what happens in spider man 1. He has watched it countless times this week in my parents theatre. I love it when your kids are so into the character they are dressing up as. It is so cute!! Beckham is being a dinosaur. But when people ask him what he is being he says, "Spidee man." I say, "no becks a dinosaur" and he says, "no mommy spidee man." UH OH I found out yesterday that is what he really wants to be now and it is just too late.

CARVING PUMPKINS

The kids had a great time carving pumpkins at Grandma and Granpa's house. Bryns wanted a happy face and Stock wanted a scarey face. Beckham spent most of the time rolling his sleeves up. Luckily he doesn't know that we didn't carve one just for him this year. Because we all know when your kids are these ages that mom really does most of the work :).

STOCKTON'S LAST SOCCER GAME

I had so much fun watching Stockton play soccer this fall. He really likes soccer and he would run really fast after the ball. He would get tired during the game sometimes and come and sit on my lap and cuddle and suck his thumb. They are so little we forget that they are so little and they are doing such a good job! Great season Stockton (he has informed me he doesn't like me to call him Stocky boy anymore:(.) I love you!!

THE PRESIDENTAL ELECTION

Let me start this post off by saying I have always considered myself a republician but this year as I have watched the Presidental debates I have been more drawn to Obama. I won't go into all of the things that I have like about him but just say that I was almost sure that I was going to vote for him this election. Then I saw this clip on my friend Katherine's blog and I read the ensign article for this month. I don't think it is a coincidence that they talk about the church's stance on abortion and proposition 8 in the Ensign this month right before the election. Although I have been frusturated and confused this election I know now that despite all of the things that I feel are not right with Mcain I have to give him my vote because of my moral views on Proposition 8 and abortion. It is scarey and tricky when politicians are so convincing and suck you in. It is so hard when you aren't sure that you believe what either canidate is saying. These are hard times that we live in. We have so many concerns...the economy, gas prices, jobs, education, the war. But I feel confident now that I must stick to my core values of pro life and the sanctitiy of marriage to determine which way to vote. I hope you enjoy this video! I am obviously not Catholic but this video was put out by the catholic church and I really felt they did a great job with this video and I think it will speak to all Christains alike. I was really touched by this video and I felt the spirit as I watched it.

Yeah our sweet little neice and cousin Macyee Johnson is here!! She weighed 6 lbs. 6 ounces and was 19 inches long. She is so sweet and so tiny! Beckham is obsessed with her. He says all day long to me, "mom I want to see that baby Macyee. I want to hold her. Shhhhh the baby Macyee is sleeping." I wish I had more pics to post but my computer won't flip the pictures that I take so I will post more later. Heather and Josh are so cute with her. They will be great parents. We are so excited for this new sweet little girl!

STOCKTON'S SOCCER

Stockton is playing soccer this fall and it is so cute! He has really liked soccer and I have been impressed that he doesn't whine or complain that he is to tired. He really took a liking to it when he scored a goal his second game. He plays almost the whole game because their are two kids on his team that won't even play. They just sit on the sidelines and pick grass. This age is so funny and fun to watch in sports. Go Stocky!!! We love you.

Last week I had the chance to have two different girls nights out. One with my high school friends and one with my college friends. Every time I do this I feel so rejuvinated and blessed to have such amazing friends and women in my life. We can and do talk about everything from old times, church, husbands, dating, our kids, motherhood, etc. I love that I can let my hair down and be myself in my truest form and that no matter what these women accept and love me for who I am. I am so thankful for not only the friends I get to see on a regular basis but also the ones that live out of state that I talk to on the phone or friends that are blogging buddies!

I have found that the older we get and the more we go through the closer we grow. These girls have been such a strength to me in my times of need and I hope that I have been the same for them in their trials and triumphs. We saw the movie Women and I thought that it was a really good movie. These women really relied on each other for strength as they went through their different trials. I couldn't help but relate this to my own life and my own different friendships. One thing is for sure...Heavenly Father has a hand in all things and is aware of me and I am convinced has placed these amazing women in my path so that I can draw strength from them. Each friend has different traits that I love and each brings her own unique flair to the group. The group of friends just would not seem complete with out each and every friend in it. So to all of my friends I want to say thank you for being the person that you are. I wouldn't change a single thing about you. I just want all of my dear girlfriends to know how much I LOVE YOU, and RESPECT you for the women, mothers and friends that you are!! You have blessed my life more than you will ever know!!

BECKHAM IS TWO :(

I can't believe that my baby turned two! The last two years although at times seemed like they would never end have actually flown by. Beckham is such a joy to have in our family! He is so full of life and personality. My parents gave him this cool new Harley Davidson bike that he is loving to ride. My mom and I took the boys to the farm at Thanksgiving Point on Friday. Becks loves riding the horse and feeding the ducks. Some things that I love about Becks are...
1. He is persistent. He will call me over and over in the morning until I come and get him.
2. He never stops moving...He has never watched t.v. He doesn't walk but runs full speed everywere. He loves riding his bike, jumping on the tramp, and playing with his toys
3. He is a great eater. He isn't picky at all and he almost always finishes his food.
4. He has no fear. He rides his bike full speed down the driveway and makes the turn to the sidewalk at the end. He does everything that his brother and sister do and he wants to do it by himself.
5. He adores his brother and sister and asks me all day long where they are if they aren't home.
6. He loves shoes of all kinds. I have never seen a one year old be able to walk in flip flops, high heels etc.
7. He loves to be on the go and go places with me. As soon as he wakes up he says, " mommy we go bye bye."
8. He has the best smile that can melt anyone's heart!
9. He plays sports better than most four year olds. He can play soccer and tee-ball as well as the kids on Stockton's teams.
10. He has the most contagious laugh in the whole world.
I am so happy and I feel so blessed that I am Beckham's mom. He has made me a better mother and person and I am sure he will continue to teach me!! I love you with all of my heart Becks!! Happy Birthday!!

BECKHAM'S "WATEE" BIRTHDAY PARTY

Beckham loves swimming in the "watee" as he calls it. So he told me that he wanted a water party! I sure lucked out because the weather was perfect on Saturday! My sweet friends Jen, Suzi and Katie and both sets of my grandparents came over for the birthday fun!! Thanks so much everyone for the sweet gifts! Beckham had a blast going down the slide into the water with his friend Keaton and playing with all of the kids. He loved the cupcakes (can you tell) and he ate like four or five of them. He loved the boat cake that I made him and he kept saying, "happy birthday! Don't touch my cake. Happy birthday again." He probably blew out the candles twelve times! He is such a joy to our family and we are so happy that he is our "baby", as we love to call him!!

MILL CREEK CANYON

Last night we went up Mill Creek Canyon and had a picnic in the mountains. I love that canyon and it is so fun to be up there enjoying this weather. The kids loved throwing rocks in the water! It was a perfect Sunday activity.

I am so excited to be a new aunt!! We had Heather's baby shower a few weeks ago and it was so much fun!! Her family made her amazing quilts and my mom and I found her so many fun things at the cutest baby store in the Riverwoods in Provo. I of course had to get my new little neice her first tutu!! We are so excited for this new sweet addition to our family! Only three weeks to go!!

BRYNLEE'S FIRST DAY OF FIRST GRADE

I can't believe that Bryns started first grade! I think it is harder when they start first grade than when they go to kindergarten because they are gone all day long. Bryns is gone for 8 hours. It seems like an eternity. I really do miss her during the day and I am so excited to see her when she gets home. But I do have to say there seems to be a little less fighting in the house.

The day before she went to school she was so nervous. She kept telling me she was scared and worried that the kids wouldn't like her. Then we went to an orientation and met her teacher and it calmed a lot of her fears. She was so excited the first week. She said to me, "mom I love first grade I don't know why my friend said it is boring, I love it." She loves hot lunch (yummy) I will let her figure out that one on her own. But now this week she is exhausted and hasn't wanted to go to school. She has faked sick every day ( you know that really fake cough thing). I had to carry her to the first grade line and she chased me to the car crying twice on Monday. Then her friend held her in line and I drove off. It hasprogressively gotten better as the week has gone on. I think she is just exhausted and getting adjusted. It is darling though because two girls in the ward that are in 5th and 6th grade go and get her from her class and walk her to the bus after school and then they walk her home everyday! We have such sweet neighbors!

STOCKTON'S FIRST DAY BACK AT CHALLENGER!

Stockton had his first day of 4 year old pre-school this week! We went to meet his teachers last Friday and he was so shy he just hid behind me the entire time and he wouldn't talk at all. The teachers asked me if this was his first time going to pre-school. I said no he went here last year. But you wouldn't have guessed by how shy he was. When we got home he told me he was upset because he thought he was having the same teachers as last year. But then on the first day of school he came home really excited because a lot of his friends from last year are in his class this year! I think it will be a great year for Stockon! His teachers seem darling!

The other day I was at the store with the boys and I said to them, "How did I get so lucky to have you two? Heavenly Father must really love me." Stockton's reply was, "Mom Heavenly Father blessed us here and Jesus just made it that way." It was so cute! Then whenever he wants me to turn on a movie for him or do something for him he will say to me, "mom if you don't do it then I won't play with you." Too funny. That would be quite the punishment for me.

ENJOYING THE YARD!

For several years while we lived in Vegas my kids didn't have much of a yard. I guess if you call rocks a yard then they did but anyway...They have really enjoyed having a yard to play in the last two summers. One of the boys favorite past times is helping mow the lawn and playing with their new bunny "bubbly, fluffy."

Grandpa Johnson's Birthday

My Grandpa turned 75 the other day and we got the entire family together to celebrate. He likes to get the whole family together to celebrate his birthday! It is so cute. My grandpa is quite the guy. He is still working full time as a pharmicist (partly because when he retired my grandma couldn't stand him being home watching everything she was doing. And partly because he is such a busy body). If he isn't working at the store you can find him working in his immaculate yard. His famous words all the time I was growing up were, "don't touch the flowers." His yard really is so pretty and several people in his ward have had their wedding receptions there. He is a great family man and I love him dearly. Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Swimming Lessons!!

Bryns, Stock and Becks took private swim lessons from a girl in Sandy this year (thanks Sunni ). They would each get a 20 minute private lesson. It was such a blessing because the kids loved their teacher and Bryns and Stocky have officially learned how to swim!! They loved their lessons and they always got so excited when it was swimming lesson day! Last year they took from Lifetime and I payed a fortune and they learned nothing. This year I payed half the price and after one lesson they learned more than a whole summer at the gym swimming lessons!! Now they love to swim and they are little fish. Bryns can swim the whole length of the pool and Stock can go 3/4 of the way!!

We had a going away lunch (courtesy of Sunni- thanks Sunni) for my friend Amy and Stocky's cute friend David. Stockton, David and Trace went to Challenger together last year, and they are in the same ward. They are such cute friends! I loved driving them to school when it was my turn for carpool because they would make me laugh so hard with all of the darling things that they would say. I know Stocky and Trace will really miss David. When I would drive David would always say, "can I come over and play with Stocky and eat Dino Nuggets?" He was such a sweet friend. It was so cute because he would ride his scooter over to play with Stocky. Stocky asks about him everyday and misses him so much. Amy is such a sweet person and such a great example. We will miss them so much but we are excited for their family and the many new adventures they will have in Arizona!!

BEAR LAKE

We went camping and boating at Bear Lake two weekends ago and it was so much fun! It is so pretty at bear lake. We are used to Lake Powell so the water took a little while to get used to but after a minute it felt great! The beaches there are amazing and the kids can walk out in the water forever. We did a lot of surfing and a little wake boarding and of course we had to get a raspberry shake. The kids went up with my parents one night before me because I had to teach a school a dance that I choreographed and they had a great time at the rodeo. Stockton wanted to do the muttin bustin but he wasn't signed up. Stockton was very concerned the whole trip wondering where the bears were at bear lake. He kept asking if the bears were in the water. Beckham was obsessed with everyone's keys so finally my dad gave him a key ring with old keys that he doesn't use anymore. He was in heaven. It was so fun to be together as a family and to not have to get ready. That is my favorite kind of trip. Low maintenance!!

DANCE ATTACK

Brynlee went to Dance Attack a dance convention last week in Park City and it was her first convention! I was so impressed with how well the girls did at listening and paying attention. It is hard for 5 and 6 year olds to dance for four to five hours a day but they did great! It was so much fun to room with Kath, Tiff and Tai. Bryns was thrilled that she got to share a room with Mads, Kwinc, and Kelc. She told my mom several times how fun it was that there was a door inbetween the room that we always kept open. We took the girls to the Alpine Slide one night and they loved it. They all wanted to go again.

They had great instructors at the convention that some of you might have seen on "So you think you can dance." Sabra, Kameron and Nic were all teachers and they were darling with the kids. Brynlee thought it was so cool because she know Sabra. Sabra was my assisstant in all of my dance classes that I taught in Vegas. Bryns used to come to all of my classes with me and so she was so happy when Sabra remembered her. We had a great few days in Park City. It was so fun to laugh and have a good time and enjoy watching our little girls. I remember going to this camp when I was little. Now my Bryns is going. I can't believe how time flies.

THE 24th

We had a great day on the 24th. My mom and I took the kids to the pool during the day. Then that evening we had a barbeque and went over to Grandma and Grandpa Black's house to light fireworks. The kids had so much fun doing sparklers and helping Grandpa with all of the fireworks.

I have not been very good about taking pictures this summer. I am just enjoying being outside swimming and playing in the water with my kids. We go to the pool at the gym a lot and we are enjoying boating and our seven peaks passes!! Brynlee and Stock have gotten so much braver this year in the water!! Bryns offically learned how to swim this year. She is a little fish now and loves swimming. She can dive down to the bottom, do flips in the water and swim across the pool. She does something that she calls her princess dive but it is really a belly flop. OUCH! It really looks like it hurts but she does it over and over and seems to think it is really cool. Stockton has loved going down the slide and he will go under water this year. I worry that is swallowing half of the pool because he always has his mouth open smiling when he goes under the water. Beckham is just in heaven being at the pool and isn't afraid to try anything. He was the first to go down the slide at the pool and show his older brother and sister up. At that point they had no choice but to go down the slide so that there one year old brother wasn't making them look chicken. I love summer! I wish it would never end.

My sister in law Heather turned 25 last weekend! Heather has been such a sweet addition to our family! I always tell people that my brother was really lucky to find and marry Heather and it is so true. She is always so willing to help you with anything and everything. I remember when her and my brother were dating she stayed up until 3 am helping me make christmas presents for my mom and mother in laws. When I was pregnant with Beckham my brother and Heather drove all the way down to Vegas to put up bead board in my baby room. She stayed by Josh the whole time and helped him with everything. She is amazing!! She always has great advice on clothes, boys (ahhhh), etc. She is so easy to talk to. She is so crafty. She has such an eye for decorating and making everything look great! She is always to willing to help me with the kids and she is such a sweet aunt. She really gets down and plays with them. They all adore her. Beckham calls her Heathe and I think it is so cute!! She will be an amazing mom to this new sweet little girl that will bless our family!! I just want you to know how much I love you Heather and I am so blessed to have you as my sister in law!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

MORE BIRTHDAY PICS

Okay so I know that I posted the other pictures early (thank you to all of my dear friends that knew my real birthday) but that was because we celebrated early because my parents were out of town. I had a great day so thanks to all of my family and friends for making my 30th birthday so special. My friend Angie and I went and got pedicures and manicures and then we met up with some of our other college roommates Brooklyn and Kerri for lunch. Thanks girls for a fun lunch!! My sweet brothers watched my kids while I was gone. I came home to my brother Trent and my kids washing my car!! Then that evening my Grandma and Grandpa Black took my brothers, my kids and I out to eat at the cheesecake factory!! Such yummy food but quite hard when you have three little ones waiting for an hour and a half for a table. My brothers told me to remind them never to take their kids to a sit down restaurant. Then today my Grandma and Grandpa Johnson had a birthday dinner for me at their house. I am so blessed to have such sweet family and friends. My friend Katherine sent me a card that said it is fitting that you are turning 30 (a new decade) and you are starting a new part of your life!! I am excited for what is in store for me! Although I don't want to be 30 I really feel great right now. This age feels great because I think you really know who you are and what you stand for. And you feel more comfortable in your skin!! I am excited for 30's. I think there are some great things in store!!!

Okay so I know that I posted this early but it was because my parents are in Hawaii so we celebrated my birthday before they left! My mom made my favorite thing in the whole world strawberry pie. When I lived in Vegas I would always call her and say, "mom I am coming home will you make me a strawberry pie." She always would have one waiting for me when I would roll into town. Mom, you are the best!!!

COLLEGE ROOMMATES WEEKEND GETAWAY!!

We planned a last minute girls trip to St. George for the weekend last week and we had such a blast. We have a tradition of doing this trip every year with all of our college roommates and it is something that I really look forward to. We just relaxed and enjoyed each others company. One day we stayed in our swimsuits the entire day. We ate way too much, layed by the pool, went to a movie and got facials. I feel so blessed to have had such amazing college roommates! We missed you Kath and Brooklyn!! Thanks for an amazing weekend girls!!

MEMORIAL DAY IN ST. GEORGE

For Memorial Day we went to St. George for the weekend! We had a fun weekend of relaxing by the pool and the boys golfed. Heather's family camped near St. George so we went and ate dinner with them one night and enjoyed 4-wheeling, and the highlight of the trip catching polywogs. Stockton has been wanting to do this forever and he has a special bucket saved for when we go to catch polywogs. So it was so much fun for the kids to be able to catch so many in St. George. My mom and Stockton were the most excited!! We saved about 10 polywogs in a water bottle but on the way home they got too hot and died. Oh well it was still a lot of fun!!

THE ZOO

Bryn's class went to the zoo on Friday and I was able to go with her and help with the kids. Thank goodness I went because Bryns was so tired from her party the night before that I don't know what she would have done if I wasn't there. We rode the school bus which is always a fun treat. I haven't riden a school bus since I coached and I have to say I don't miss it. It was so cute because Bryn's has so many friends in her class and they all wanted to hold her hand. She is quite popular in her class. That always makes you feel good as a parent to know that your child is nice to others and in turn others want to be friends with them. We had a great time at the zoo and it was fun to spend some one on one time with me and Bryns. It was a beautiful day!! Spring is finally here!!

BRYN'S IS 6!!

I can't believe my baby girl is 6. AHHHHH where did the time go? She is growing up to be such a sweet, good girl and I am so proud to be her mommy. She told me that she wanted a my little pony party and I was excited because she is growing up so fast and she won't want cute little parties like that for very much longer. She was so excited for her birthday and was counting down the hours and minutes until her party with her friends. We colored my little pony picutres, they got tatoos of my little pony. We had a my little pony pinata (which broke on the second girl hitting it) that didn't go how I had planned. Any we played some other games. Then my neighbors Jordan and Morgan are so sweet they have horses and they were so cute and willing to give all of the kids horse rides. All of the kids thought this was great! Brynlee got so spoiled by all of her friends. Thank you so much for all of the sweet gifts. I wanted to write a few things that I absolutely love about my Brynlee Bryns...

1. She is a social butterfly. She makes friends anywhere and everywhere we go. She includes others and is a friend to all.

2. She chooses the right. She is very aware of the right choice and is always a great reminder to me of what we should be doing. Whenever we are on vacation and we don't go to church she will be the first to mention that we missed church.

3. She is amazing at saying prayers. She has such a sweet spirit and says such mature and loving prayers to her Father in Heaven. She always thanks Heavenly Father for his love. She says, "we love you because we feel you."

4. She is a little helper with the boys. She alwyas helps me get Beckham out of his crib in the morining. He is grumpy a lot of times when he gets up and she is always so sweet to him and makes him happy. She says, "are you okay? do your ears hurt." For some reason she has a real calming effect on him. Too sweet.

5. She is loyal. Once a friend always a friend. She still cries and misses friends from Vegas. She makes friends of all ages. She has friends in our neighborhood that come to play with her that are 10 years old. She also loves to play with the girls her age and little ones too. She loves Maddie who is three. She loves playing with boys and girls. She always tells me she already knows that she is going to marry Caleb.

6. She loves things to be organized and beautiful. She hates getting ready but loves her hair to look pretty and loves a new cute outfit.

7. She is an amazing artist. She draws beautiful pictures and is great at coloring.

8. She is such a cute dancer and she tries so hard to do her best!! She loves showing all of her friends her dance moves and is very proud of what she can do. She is a poser as you can tell from all of the pictures! I think she has picked this up from dance!

9. She is obedient when I tell her to pick up her room or get her pajamas on.

10. She is so much fun to be with. I love days when just her and I can hang out. She always tells me funny stories and we laugh and have so much fun together. She loves to tell jokes.

11. She has an amazing memory. She memorizes lines from movies. She always loves telling her dance teacher Miss Bethany what comes next in a dance. She is great at memorizing all of their monthly poems at school.

12. She is a great student! I hear nothing but wonderful reports from her school teachers. She has become an excellent reader this year!!

I am so thankful that Heavenly Father blessed me with a daughter. I remember when I found out that I was having a girl I was estatic. Being a dancer growing up you always hope that you get a little girl to put in dance and to have someone who will always come home even when she is grown. I remember the day I had her I was in awe of how perfect she was. She was beautiful in every way. Her dark brown hair, her perfect little features, and body. I have a special place in my heart for Bryns because she made me a mommy and has helped me learn and grow how to be a better mommy. I know she will continue to teach me as we go through this journey together. We named her BRYNLEE SOPHIE. I always loved the name brynn and my middle name is lee so we thought Brynlee was a great name for her. Her middle name Sophie is after my sweet grandma who is adore. The name Sophie means wisdom which fits Bryns perfectly. I love you so much Bryns and I hope you had a very happy sixth birthday!!

MOM'S BIRTHDAY

My mom turned 50 this year!! We went to Tepanyaki for her birthday and the food was delicious. Beckham was scared to death of the fire and my brother Josh kept having to him out. My mom is absolutely amazing and I am so thankful that she is my mother. She is such an amazing example to me of service and of always choosing the right. She is happy and always focuses on the positve in situations and people. She is a hard worker and always goes the extra mile on whatever she does. My friend Jen has told me several times, "your mom is a work horse." It is true. She is so much fun to be with and is always up for a good time. We love going to movies together, going boating, going on walks, and talking. I always know that if I want a clear persepective on a situation then I should talk to my mom and get her advice. She is so much fun to talk to you. She is the best grandma in the whole world and has in many ways become my kids other parent. I love you mom you are the best and I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!

KYLENE AND GREG'S WEDDING!!

One of my dear friends and former health and drill team student Kylene got married last Thursday!! I was fortunate to be invited to her sealing at the Salt Lake Temple. It was a beautiful sealing and of course I bawled like a baby. Kylene is such an amazing person. She was my captain on the drill team the last year I coached. She was the best leader and such a positive example to all of the girls. This was the year that we took state and nationals. Since then she has become a dear friend. She came and stayed with me when I lived in Vegas. We have run together and gone to the gym a lot this year. She is such a sweet person and friend and I am so blessed to have her in my life. Plus I love her whole family and I feel so much love for them. Kylene married an amazing guy named Greg and I think they are a perfect match. It makes me so happy to see former students and friends so happy!! The sealer repeated several times the council that the most important decision you will make in this life is to marry the right person by the right authority. This is so true and unfortunately I have learned this the hard way!! I am so thankful that I was able to be at the sealing and share that sweet memory with Kylene. Congratultions Kylene I love you and I am so proud of you!!

STOCKTON'S PROGRAM AT SCHOOL

Stockton had his singing program at his school last week and it was adorable. His singing program was all about Sea World. When we were in Sea World in March we were looking at the Whales and all of a sudden Stockton busted out a song all about Buluga(spellling?) Whales. We were so impressed but we had no idea he was doing a whole program on Sea World until we got to the program on Monday. Leave it to boys to never tell you anything. Stock sang his little heart out and they did the cutest little partner dance with little girls. Then we were able to go in his room and see his art work. We had so much fun at Stock's program. Ever since the program Stockton is loving his school. This is a change from how he has been throughout the year. Stockton has the cutest personality. Apparantely he is quite the ladies man because he had two little girls want to get their picture taken with him after the program. Typical boy though he was so shy and jumping around being hyper not wanting to get his picture taken. He always makes me laugh and he makes me so happy!! I love you Stockton.
